The spa was named to suggest the sea, wisdom and lifelong learning. It links its name to the Sanskrit word Veda, from which it takes the word Vida.

The spa describes its approach as natural beauty guided by ancient wisdom and modern science. Its facial menu includes the Kai Vida line, a two-hour customized Signature Facial with six enhancements, Fresh Collagen treatments using Faith Cosmetics skincare, and oxygen, hydra dermabrasion, EpiFusion and dermaplaning facials. LED light therapy and microcurrent are offered as an alternative to lifts and Botox, according to the spa, and the menu also covers acne treatments, scalp and hair treatments, makeup, body facials, waxing, and permanent makeup for brows, lip blush and eyeliner.

Visits are by appointment only, booked by phone, text or online, and online requests must be approved by the spa. The spa is open Tuesday to Thursday from 11am to 5:30pm and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 3:30pm. First-time guests arrive five minutes early for forms and check-in, while returning clients arrive at their booked time. Guests remove their shoes and wear spa slippers, which they may bring themselves, and practitioners wear gloves for every service. The doors lock automatically for privacy, so staff need to be at the door to let guests in.

Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may have their service shortened or changed, or be cancelled and rescheduled. Cancellations within 48 hours carry a fee of 20% of the appointment price, and cancellations or reschedules made more than 24 hours ahead receive full credit at the spa. Appointments outside regular hours carry a 25% fee. Cards carry no extra fee, cash payments on totals over $140 receive $20 off, and purchased products cannot be returned.

The bridal menu has three makeup packages. The Classic Bride includes a bridal makeup trial, wedding-day makeup, custom skin prep, long-wear products, false lashes and a touch-up kit. The Kai Vida Bride adds a second trial, luxury skin prep, priority scheduling and one Glow Boost Facial for the bride. The Luxury Bride includes two to three trials, touch-ups before the ceremony or photos, and a Glow Boost Facial for both the bride and the groom. The spa says it has provided bridal services at Ryland Inn, Crystal Springs Resort, Perona Farms and Bridgewater Manor.
