JVVS

JVVS is the work of Josephine Valdes Sarcinello, who owns the business and works as an Artist-Cosmetologist in South Florida. Her hairdressing started early, with a junior assistant job at thirteen that involved shampooing clients and mixing color. Since then she has worked in salons across very different settings and clienteles, from New York City to Miami.

In 2019 she chose to focus her career on natural hair textures. Much of the work now centers on curl services, including curl cuts, and clients come in with their current hair or start over with a big chop. The business also offers color and creative, edgy styles, and wash and go styles are booked under the Style category.

A visit starts with the client's own hair and habits. Josephine aims to bring hair back to its healthiest state and then shows the client how to keep it that way at home, building a regimen suited to their needs without judgment. Highlights and balayage need an in-person consultation before they can be booked. Clients who cannot detangle or style their hair before an appointment can add No Prep.

Clients come for curl expertise or a special-occasion treat, and the business welcomes people at any stage of their hair journey.
