Dana Pecoraro founded Just Be Hair Studio, and the studio's stated mission is high-quality hair work with guests' health kept in view, using non-toxic products in a small, safe setting. The salon describes itself as using only the best organic products available.
A visit starts with a scalp cleanse and massage using organic ingredients, and then the stylist moves on to precision cutting and styling. Stylists talk through treatments, styles and cuts with each client before going ahead. Changes requested beyond the agreed plan are charged as needed.
The menu is grouped into Haircare, Holistic and Organic Color. Color work covers grey coverage, color enhancement, lightening and blending. Reiki can be booked alone or paired with a blow dry or haircut. Prices are a starting point and can rise with hair length, density, extra time or product needed. Hours run Monday 11 to 7, Tuesday 9 to 2, Wednesday 10 to 2, Thursday 11 to 8, Friday 11 to 7 and Saturday 7 to 4. Parking is on-street only, on Johnson, Madison or Niagara Street, as the back lot is not for parking. Children are welcome by appointment.
The studio builds its services on organic, non-toxic products and a scalp-first start, with stylists advising on each treatment, style and cut.
