The school occupies the second and third floors at 95 Freeport Street in Dorchester, Boston. Alongside its training programs, it operates a salon that members of the public can book. The office is open on weekdays from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and is closed on weekends.
Four programs are offered: Cosmetology (1000 clock hours), Aesthetics (600 hours, split between 300 in-person and 300 online), Nail Technology (100 hours) and Massage Therapy (650 hours). Cosmetology covers manicuring, hair removal, facials and skincare, haircutting, chemical perms, foiling and highlights, with oral, written and practical testing alongside sterilization, hygiene, anatomy and sanitation. Aesthetics covers facial massage, skin cleansing, waxing and tweezing, eyebrow arching, makeup and lash application, and lash extensions and tinting. Nail Technology covers nail care and beautification, gel, acrylic and gel polish work, and massage for hands, feet and nails. Massage Therapy covers many massage styles along with anatomy, physiology, pathology, kinesiology, and ethics and business practices, and includes a supervised clinical internship before licensure. According to the course pages, Aesthetics graduates may work as skin care specialists and Nail Technology graduates as manicurists or pedicurists.
Hair and nail walk-ins are taken on weekdays from 10:30 am to 2 pm, and clients booking chemical services are asked to check in before 1 pm. Massage appointments can be booked online through Fresha or by calling the school, and a free phone consultation is offered. In-office tours and information sessions are arranged with an admissions officer.
Prospective students need a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, a valid Social Security number, and identification with proof of age. Cosmetology applicants must be at least 16 and Massage Therapy applicants at least 18. Applicants past compulsory school age without a diploma can take the CELSA aptitude test. Diplomas earned outside the United States require a credential evaluation through CED Evaluations at the applicant's expense. Federal aid through FAFSA is available for Aesthetics, Massage Therapy and Cosmetology using school code 042292. Pell and Mass grants do not need to be repaid, while Federal Direct Loans must be repaid after graduation. A net price calculator is also available.
Built around preparing students for state board theory and practical exams and for work in the field, with salon services offered to the public alongside training.
Massage rooms are described as cozy, and the school says it aims for a professional, comfortable setting for every student.
