Juniper was founded in 2015 in a historic studio dating to the 1930s. About three years later, co-founders Leah and Alexis expanded to Midtown Phoenix.

The salon aims to create an environment that improves clients' quality of life, a calm place where people can recharge and look after their well-being. The aesthetic leans on raw elements and natural materials.

Services are by appointment only and are booked through the online booking link, which also has a waiting list. Clients who want same-time appointments with a friend can text the salon for help. Visitors are asked to arrive, finish and leave on time so the space can be readied for the next client. Parking is in the lot behind the building or on the street.

Before a facial, avoid shaving for 24 hours, and avoid exfoliating acids, retinol and prescription Vitamin A for three days before and after. Facials are recommended every four to six weeks along with a personalized home routine. Clients should note pregnancy, injuries, digestive issues or specific pain areas in their booking notes.

Bachelorette and work parties can be hosted, and booking a few months ahead is recommended. Nail art is kept simple because of time limits, so bring a color idea and send a design idea 24 hours in advance. The salon works with gel and lacquer polish only and does not remove dip or acrylic. Microblading eyebrows starts with a 150-minute initial session at $250, followed by a touch-up at six to eight weeks for $75 and an annual color refresh for $175.

The salon's focus is on well-being and offering an easy place to recharge, with treatments chosen to suit each client.
