Julie Scissorhands

Julie Scissorhands is a private salon suite in Geneva, Illinois, where all appointments are one-on-one. Clients are seen by the owner and stylist, Julie, rather than a rotating team, so each visit is handled by the same person from start to finish.

The menu covers haircuts, fades, color, hair design, conditioning treatments and facial waxing. Julie focuses on razor cutting, special effects color, curly hair, men's grooming, and updos and bridal styling. She says she keeps up with current trends and techniques, can work in most styles, and enjoys creating her own designs. Clients come from many different backgrounds.

The salon has a massage chair for clients and a UV-light air purifier that runs around the clock. Julie is known for her scalp massages and treatments. For clients who cannot easily come in, she offers transport to and from the salon and home services using a travel sink. Shop hours are Wednesday to Friday from 11am to 9pm and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. Sunday through Tuesday visits are by request only.

Julie keeps current with trends and techniques, works across many styles, and treats continuing education as an important part of her work.
