Julie Giles

Julie Giles is a hair stylist based in Seattle who has practiced hair styling for almost 30 years. The stylist owned a salon for close to two decades before moving to a leased chair in the Old Rainier Brewery loft, which is a newer location for the work. Training includes time with Gene Juarez, American Crew, Bumble and Bumble, and Vidal Sassoon.

The work centers on cuts that are simple to style at home and hold their shape as they grow out. Services range from buzz cuts and clipper cuts to scissor and razor cuts at several lengths, with separate options for long hair and for extra long or very thick hair. Clients can also book help planning and carrying out a major change in their hair.

Appointment times are set by the current length of your hair rather than the length you want to end with, so the booking matches the work involved. Listed hours are Wednesday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Clients who need to cancel or change an appointment should contact the stylist at least 24 hours ahead to avoid a charge. A missed appointment without notice is billed at the full price of that service. Clients have described the stylist as easygoing, fun, and easy to talk to.

Cuts are planned for ease of styling and healthy grow-out, with the appointment length set by the hair's current length.
