Under Hair Kinetics, hair is cut where it naturally falls rather than forced into a set direction or shape. Each cut is adapted to the client's bone structure and how their hair behaves, instead of being matched to standard face shapes. The method pairs precision cutting with modern deconstruction techniques, and the aim is natural-looking results that suit how each client lives.
Services are organized into extensions, treatments, color, styling and haircuts. Extension options include temporary and semi-permanent choices such as clip-ins, tape-ins, keratin tips applied by hot or cold fusion, and microlinks. Consultations for extensions, sew-in extensions and wigs cost $50, $50 and $100, and each fee goes toward the cost of the extensions or wig.
Clients can book online, by phone or by email. Hours are Tuesday 10am to 4pm, Wednesday and Thursday 9am to 9pm, and Saturday 9am to 5pm, with the salons closed on Sundays and Mondays. The Manhattan salon can be reached at 212.628.5639.
Hair Kinetics is a cutting and styling method built around the natural movement and structure of each client's hair, with cuts shaped to the individual rather than to a standard face shape.
