JoceeyLashes offers lash extensions, which the consent form describes as a semi-permanent procedure. Appointments are booked online through a Square page, and the business posts its policies on its Instagram account, where clients are asked to read them before booking.

Before any appointment, each client must complete a lash extension consent form. The form is valid for six months from the date it is completed, so returning clients who have been away longer will need to sign a new one. Clients must be over 18, or have a parent present who consents to the service.

To keep a set looking full, most clients return for a fill every two to three weeks. Natural lashes keep growing and shedding on their own, so touch-up visits are what maintain the original look. Final length and fullness can differ from what a client chose, depending on eye shape and how many natural lashes they have.

Clients are asked to remove contact lenses before arriving, and to come in free of head lice or lice eggs. Anyone who feels unwell or has symptoms of illness must cancel or reschedule. Between visits, clients wash their extensions daily. Water, moisture, weather and high heat can shorten how long a set lasts.

The consent form also covers photography. Clients may be photographed or recorded, and by signing they give the business and a partner account permission to post that content. The form also includes a release from claims and damages, and the technician is not responsible for lash fallout that happens after an appointment. Adding glitter or decals to a set carries a risk of the add-on falling into the eye.
