JL Gleam runs as a small studio on the southwest side of Miami. Because the space is very small, appointments are for the client alone, with no guests or children.

Hair extensions are the core of the work. Options include tape-in installs and maintenance visits, micro-link weft sew-ins set into silicone beads, braided wefts and rows, clip-in installs, protective cap quick weaves, K-tip fusion installs and extension removal. A full-head tape-in typically uses 60 to 80 pieces, and 40 for a partial or highlight look.

Lash work covers cluster sets in classic, volume or hybrid, and mega volume styles. Spikes, bottom lashes and removal of previous lashes are available as add-ons. Lash appointments usually take 20 to 45 minutes and begin with a lash bath. Clusters are not sold as refills, the studio does not work over another person's lash or extension work, and clients with thin or sparse lashes are asked not to book.

Hair treatments include blowouts, a clear shine gloss, a keratin smoothing treatment and relaxers. Relaxers are only offered as an add-on to another service.

Clients must be 18 or older to book. Most appointments need a non-refundable deposit that is applied to the total. The balance is paid after the visit by tap, card or cash; Zelle and Cash App are not accepted. Questions about bookings can be sent by text or email.
