Jessica Wilson, the stylist behind Hair By Jess Wilson, has been working as a hairstylist for 14 years. She was personally trained by Kiara Bailey, the founder of Hair Lingerie, and the studio uses only Hair Lingerie extensions.

The work centers on extensions for women who have thinning hair, fine hair, or hair loss. Each option is matched to the client's hair type, density, texture and the look they want. Tape-in extensions are applied to the scalp using a tape panel, which the salon describes as nearly invisible. Weft extensions can be applied in several ways, and micro HLK-Tip extensions are individual bonds made with Italian keratin, placed at a lower temperature to fill in thinning at the hairline and part.

A visit starts with a free 20-minute consultation covering lifestyle, hair history, color, the length wanted and how much hair is needed. The quote for the first install and ongoing maintenance is given at that meeting, and a non-refundable deposit for the hair is taken afterward. The first install takes 1-2 hours and finishes with a shaping and blow-out. Move-up appointments every 5-8 weeks include removal and reinstallation, a deep conditioning treatment, blow-out and shaping. Clip-in extensions can also be used at home, and the team shows clients how to put them in and take them out. Clip-ins can be custom colored, permed, straightened and cut to match the client's own hair.

Hair Lingerie is sold in packs. Clients commonly use 1-2 packs for added fullness, 2-3 packs for added length, and 3 or more packs for extreme length and fullness. The extensions are listed as lasting 6 to 18 months, depending on the hair quality chosen.
