Jerome & Co. SoSo

Jerome & Co. runs two salons. The Jupiter location, the business's first, opened in January 2019 in the Bluffs Square Shoppes. The SoSo salon in West Palm Beach is the second and is now open. Both are led by founder and master colorist Jerome Salmon, and the business describes the two salons as sharing one standard of craft.

Color is the main focus. Services include custom color, hand-painted balayage, glazes, single and double process, partial and full highlights, and full foils. Starting prices differ by location. At Jupiter, a Glaze starts at $50, a Base Break at $75, a Single Process at $125, Partial Highlights at $165, Full Balayage at $225 and Full Foils at $265. At SoSo, a Glaze starts at $55, a Base Break at $85, a Single Process at $140, Partial Highlights at $185, Full Balayage at $250 and Full Foils at $290. Corrective color, extensions and bridal services are quoted in person or at a consultation, and final prices depend on hair length, density and the service agreed on.

The menu also covers cutting and texture, blowouts and updos, hair extensions, treatments, head spa, nails, skin and brows, waxing, and makeup and bridal. Consultations are unhurried, and the team works out the color and service with each client before starting.

Visitors can reserve through the Meevo booking system or by phoning (561) 675-0800. Both locations welcome clients Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 6pm, and Monday hours match those times from November through April; the salons are closed on Sundays. The business asks for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may be charged 50% of the booked service.

The salon keeps to classic technique with a modern finish, and puts precision into its color work and its consultations.

The Jupiter location has a warm, bright feel. SoSo, by comparison, features ceilings 20 feet high, a faux oak tree standing 12 feet tall, herringbone-patterned wood flooring, and service alcoves with curtains.
