Jannet's Waxing Studio is a small, owner-run space in an office suite on East 204th Street in the Bronx. Jannet Camacho owns the studio and does the waxing herself.
Jannet has been waxing for about four years and focuses on Brazilian and full body waxing. The menu also covers arms, back, legs, face, chest, stomach and underarms, with single-area services and bundled options.
Brazilian appointments are priced for different clients: a new-client rate for first-time visits or a return after eight or more weeks, and a loyal rate for clients who wax every four to six weeks. A Thursday-only Brazilian is also offered, and the studio notes that the birthday discount does not apply to it.
Many services require a deposit when booking, and in-person bookings can be paid over time with Buy Now Pay Later, from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. Arriving more than seven minutes late may lead to the appointment being canceled and charged in full if it affects the schedule. Cancelling or rescheduling within 48 hours is charged at half the service price, same-day changes at 75%, and no-call no-shows at the full price. If a card on file is declined or short of funds, new bookings are blocked until the balance is paid, and clients who dispute a charge cannot book future appointments.
Clients may be waxed during their period; the studio asks them to bring a tampon to the appointment, and the 48-hour cancellation policy still applies. Clients are also asked not to smoke cigarettes or marijuana beforehand, since the studio is small with limited ventilation.
Owner-run, with appointment lengths set for each service and clear rules on timing, deposits and cancellations.
Reviewers describe the studio as clean and inviting.
