Every microloc journey starts with a consultation before anything is booked. A consultation runs about 30 to 45 minutes and covers the process, an assessment of the hair, the loc method and size, test locs, retightens and upkeep, and a price quote. The consultation costs $50 and that deposit is non-refundable and not counted toward the install. A quote stays valid for 30 days, and the install must be booked within 45 days of it.

Installs take one to two days, so clients should set aside at least two. Hair should be at least 3 inches long, with 4 inches recommended, and washed 24 to 48 hours beforehand and fully dry when the appointment begins. Microlocs are offered on natural hair only, with no perms, and installs are not done on relaxed or heat-damaged hair. Pricing depends on hair length, density, head size, loc method and loc size, and is set at consultation. The install deposit is 20% or $100, whichever applies, and it goes toward the balance. The balance is due after the first day and can be paid in full or as a half payment.

Retightens are scheduled every 4 to 8 weeks at a price that rises with the interval: $165 at 4 to 6 weeks, $185 at 7 weeks, and $205 at 8 weeks. Each retighten includes up to two hours, with additional hours at $30 each. New growth beyond 2 inches adds $10 per inch. Locs installed by someone else carry a $50 transfer fee, paid before the retighten is booked. A retighten after 9 or more weeks requires a new consultation.

Wash services are also offered, with instructions on washing between visits. Facial and skincare payments are final, and skincare products cannot be refunded.

Appointments get a text confirmation 24 to 48 hours ahead, and unconfirmed appointments are cancelled. There is a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals, and appointments more than 30 minutes late must be rescheduled. An install can be moved once. A $25 fee applies after one missed consultation, and cancelling twice voids the consultation. Hair service deposits are non-refundable. Services are offered to women and to children age 11 and older, and no extra guests may attend appointments. Booking means agreeing to photos and videos being used on social media. Payment is accepted by cash or Zelle.

The studio puts the health and longevity of clients' hair first and builds each microloc plan from a consultation that assesses the hair and includes test locs before any install.
