About

Jane was started by two friends who share a love of the ocean, surfing and being outdoors. The studio focuses on electrolysis, a method that treats hair one follicle at a time, and says its aim is to help clients feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin.

Every new client starts with a consultation, which costs $30. The visit covers how the treatment works, any questions you have, and a plan shaped around your goals. Regular appointments are the usual starting point, and session length and frequency are reduced gradually as hair growth slows. The number of sessions needed depends on the area, how much hair there is, past hair removal methods, hormones and genetics.

Sessions are priced by length: $65 for 15 minutes, $100 for 30, $135 for 45 and $170 for 60. Bikini area appointments are $115 for 30 minutes or $180 for 60. Numbing cream is available on request. Most clients describe the sensation as a warm pinch or a quick zap.

The studio says electrolysis suits all hair types, colors, textures and skin tones. It also welcomes clients with PCOS or another hormonal condition who are dealing with stubborn hormonal hair. Bookings are made online through Vagaro.

Treatment is planned individually after a consultation, with each follicle treated on its own schedule.

The studio describes its space as calm and welcoming.
