James Malone Collective works from two locations: a suite inside a salon suites building in Alpharetta, and a salon in historic downtown Newnan that opened in 2019. The Alpharetta salon has been part of the local salon community for more than 20 years. The Newnan salon operates as a hybrid team, mixing in-house stylists with independent stylists, and it also houses the retail store. The Alpharetta suite is run by a small team of master stylists.

The business offers a group of hair loss solutions, which are alternative hair options for clients who are experiencing hair loss. Options include full toppers, which are partial wigs that add coverage, volume or length across the top of the head; crown toppers, which are smaller and sit further back from the hairline, focused on the crown; blend-ins, which add length, volume or color; and halos, a single or multi-layered weft attached to an adjustable band for temporary thickness and length. All human hair toppers are made from 100% Remy human hair that is ethically sourced. Pricing depends on brand, length, density and customization.

The hair loss process begins with a text consultation, followed by an in-person consultation for which a non-refundable $50 deposit applies toward the cost of the topper. After that visit, the business sends a cost breakdown, and the topper is ordered once payment is received. A final install appointment covers cutting and fitting. New clients can request a 15-minute complimentary consultation.

Pricing across the salon is set by each individual stylist, except for assistants and junior stylists, and all prices are starting prices. Finishing services such as blow dries and haircuts are billed separately from color services unless stated otherwise. Each location can be reached by text, which is preferred, or by email.
