Services fall into three groups. Braiding includes box braids, cornrows, crochet faux locs, knotless braids and Senegalese twists, and can be done on short hair with the style discussed at consultation. Loc work covers detox treatment, interlocking, loc extensions matched to the client's natural texture and color, loc maintenance, repair for thinning or broken locs, combining locs on request, loc styling for weddings and parties, retwists and starter locs. Starter locs can be begun with comb coils, two-strand twists, interlocking or braiding, and consultations are offered for starter locs and natural hair goals. Natural hair appointments include comb coils, cornrows and ponytails, and two-strand twists. Braided and natural styles are offered for kids. Loc detox treatments are requested by calling the salon.
The salon makes its own hair products by hand from natural ingredients, and uses them in the salon. The Jah-Made Nourishing Oil can also be used on beards and facial hair, and is listed at a sale price of $20, down from a regular price of $25.
Appointments can be booked online through the salon's booking page or by phone. A 50% deposit is required for every appointment, and the balance is paid in cash or card on the day. Deposits are non-refundable, but can be moved to a rescheduled appointment made at least 24 hours before the original time. Cancelling without 24 hours' notice forfeits the deposit. Clients have a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals, a $25 late fee applies after 15 minutes, and arriving more than 15 minutes late means rescheduling with a new deposit. Natural hair appointments include a wash and detangle, and braid appointments include a wash unless the client asks otherwise. Clients have off-street parking, complimentary Wi-Fi, bottled water and a bathroom. The salon is open Tuesday to Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturday 8am to 6pm and Sunday 2pm to 7pm, and is closed on Mondays.
