The Morristown studio sits just off the Green in the centre of town, a short walk from the Starbucks on Market Street.

The spaces are modern and designed for men, women and children alike. The salon is open Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays. Weekday hours close between 6 and 7 PM, and Saturday hours run from 8 AM to 5 PM. Appointments are booked through the Book Now button on the website. Many prices are listed as starting amounts and may vary by provider and by location, so it is worth confirming when booking.

Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice. Less notice than that results in a charge of 50 percent of the reserved service, and a no-show is charged the full amount. Multiple services or combination bookings are held with a credit card and charged in full if not cancelled 24 hours in advance, and a card hold may be placed to reserve a time. Gift cards and gift certificates can only be used at J.Walker Salon, cannot be exchanged for cash, check or credit, and are not replaced if lost.

Basking Ridge's online booking lists appointment lengths that range from about 15 minutes for root smudge blending to about 105 minutes for balayage.

The salon aims for a polished, relaxed visit shaped around each client's look, grooming habits and personal tastes.
