Island Esthetics

Island Esthetics is owned and run by Heidi Sparks, a California licensed esthetician who also designs skincare products. Services are by appointment only, and online booking is recommended. Appointments can be booked up to 30 days ahead, and same-day openings are listed online when available. The studio is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

The facials are built around each client's own concerns rather than a single standard treatment. The menu includes acne facials, dermaplaning and microdermabrasion, along with Celluma Pro LED light therapy. The studio describes its setting as a safe, relaxed place where clients can settle in, and the work is aimed at improving skin while also offering a calm hour away from the day.

Sugaring hair removal is offered to both women and men, so it sits alongside the facial menu as a second service group. The studio also sells Seaside Beauty Co. skincare, body care and hair care. Clarifying Serum is available only at the studio itself.

A few policies are worth knowing before booking. A non-refundable deposit is collected before each service and goes toward the appointment cost. Cancellations or changes need 24 hours' notice, and the deposit is kept for no-shows or late cancellations. There is a 15-minute grace period, and arriving later than that without contact may be treated as a no-show. Clients are asked to avoid harsh exfoliating products and topical prescriptions for a few days before a facial.

Aimee Frisk, a massage therapist with her own practice, works in the same building, so massage therapy can be arranged alongside skin care visits.
