InSkin Med Spa was started by two friends, Ariel Greenberg and Danielle Kurz, who met as students at Adelphi University in 2014. They talked about opening a medical spa together for years before they opened InSkin. In 2023 they attended the Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress in Miami, and the practice has since built its treatments around a pro-aging focus.

The team's philosophy is to understand each person's ethnic anatomy and physiology and to treat each client accordingly. Treatment plans are personalized and comprehensive, with the goal of correcting and restoring skin cells rather than addressing only what shows on the surface. Clients' progress is tracked with photos taken at every treatment and follow-up visit. The business describes its team as well-versed in the most advanced skin aesthetic procedures.
New clients start with a complimentary consultation. Services are grouped into skin treatments, injectables, IV therapy, massage and wellness. A mobile concierge service brings treatments to a client's home, office or hotel, from Manhattan to The Hamptons, including mobile IV therapy and mobile lymphatic drainage massage.
Club members receive complimentary monthly treatments and 10% off injectables, IV therapy, NAD+, skin treatments, skincare and weight loss programs.
The approach is to identify the core issue first and then address it with the matching treatment, based on each client's genetic makeup and individual structure. Treatment pathways are built around each client.
