Ingenious Handz is run by Ms. Tee, who started the business during her freshman year of high school. According to the About page, it has operated for about 17 years.

Braiding is the core of the studio. Standard braiding hair is used for midback and waist-length styles, and extended braiding hair for styles longer than the waist, such as tailbone or thigh length. The studio supplies braiding hair only for children's styles, for ages 12 and under.

Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:30 AM, and Saturday from 10 AM. Same-day appointments are not accepted, and cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice.

Alongside the braiding work, the PLUSH by Ingenious Handz line offers plush hats, accessories, sweaters, cardigans and bags. Listed pieces include a bucket hat at $65.00, a beanie and a du rag at $50.00 each, and cardigans starting at $200.00. Custom plush pieces can be ordered through the website.
