Infinity Electrolysis
Spa in San Diego, CA
Infinity Electrolysis removes unwanted hair permanently using electrolysis. The method inserts a sterile filament into each hair follicle and releases energy to destroy the cells that produce hair growth. The business says the treatment can be used on most of the body, including under the eyebrows, the ears, tattooed areas and darker skin, and that it works across all skin and hair types.

Visits are scheduled by appointment only. Treatment levels are adjusted to each client's comfort and tolerance. New clients get a free 30-minute consultation first. Sessions are priced at $40 for 15 minutes, $65 for a half hour, $90 for 45 minutes, $120 for an hour, $180 for 90 minutes and $240 for two hours. A package of 10 hours carries 10% off, and a military discount is available on request. Gift certificates are offered.
Before an appointment, clients are asked to stop tweezing, waxing or epilating the area, and to stop shaving about two to four days ahead. After treatment, the business advises avoiding sun and tanning for 72 hours. A free sample of M'lis Tissue Repair cream for aftercare is given after the first treatment, and the cream is also sold.
The practice uses the Apilus Platinum epilator. According to the business, the machine's 27 MHz frequency is twice as fast as other epilators, it offers MicroFlash and PicoFlash current that is available only on that machine, and it is unmatched in comfort. The business says it follows the highest sterilization standards.
Some conditions are not treated: warts, broken skin, sunburned skin and cold sores. Herpes is treated only when the client is on medication and has no current outbreak in the area. Clients with certain conditions, including heart conditions, diabetes and metal implants, need a doctor's note approving treatment before the first appointment. Teens are treated with parental permission.
Treatment levels are set to each client's comfort and tolerance, and the business says it holds to high sterilization standards.
