iMink Academy

iMink Academy is based in Owings Mills and operates under the registered name iMink Lash and Brow Academy LLC. The studio is open Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 AM, and it is closed Sunday through Tuesday.

Owner Angel Alston has offered permanent brow and lash extension services since 2017 and trains new artists every week. According to the business, more than 500 students have trained with it. The stated goal of its training is to produce iMink certified technicians through intensive instruction and counseling.

A 30-minute brow consultation costs $40 and suits people who have permanent brows from another artist or who want to meet first; the fee comes off the balance if the service is booked and approved. Lip blush and scalp micropigmentation consultations are free and last 30 minutes. Annual brow touchups for past clients, which include color correction, cost $299 if the last visit was within the past three years and $325 if it was four or more years ago.

Other listed prices include $699 for a full custom brow service, paid as a $50 deposit, $450 at the first session and $99 at the second; $499 for lip blush or lip neutralization; $150 for a new-client lash full set in any length or style, with refills at $89; and $65 to $85 for tiny tattoo flash designs or $100 to $150 per hour for custom designs, with a $25 deposit.

Brow and lash deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Appointments rescheduled or cancelled within a week may forfeit the deposit, and last-minute cancellations within 24 hours forfeit it. A cancellation made at least 48 hours ahead allows one reschedule with no fee, while the reschedule fee is $35 otherwise. Lash appointments do not allow guests, and brow appointments do not allow children, guests or food unless approved. Afterpay is accepted for appointments and courses, and Cherry Financing is available for lash training.

Aims to train iMink certified technicians through intensive training and counseling, and draws on a consultation before permanent brow work to plan what is possible.
