Marcy Prasek's path to ownership began in 1988, when she joined as an assistant and salon coordinator while attending cosmetology school. She later became general manager and then a partner with Dennis Millard, and in 2022 she bought his share to become the full owner.

Every stylist works as a member of the salon team rather than as an independent contractor, and chairs are not rented out. Company culture and teamwork are central here, and the team trains with manufacturers throughout the year. The salon also runs an apprentice program with educators on staff and hosts Surface Days, where guests learn about products and processes.

Visits often begin with the free In-Balance Design Consultation, where a hair design is recommended based on each guest's features and proportions. The salon describes itself as one of the top hair salons in Parma and the Cleveland area, and its color team as one of the area's top hair color teams. It is a member of the Parma Area Chamber of Commerce, sponsors Parma City fireworks and City of Seven Hills softball, and makes donations to local charities.

Cancellations and rescheduling need at least 24 hours' notice, and appointments are confirmed by text or email 48 hours ahead, when clients reply Yes. Corrective color and hair extensions require a 50% deposit, and no refunds are issued on services, so guests with concerns should reach the salon coordinators within 7 days. Unopened or nearly full salon products can be returned within 30 days in original packaging, while seasonal or clearance items are final sale.
