Lauren Boles founded Illumia Aesthetics in 2021 around the idea of intentional skincare, done carefully. The studio is in Suite 804 at 2231 E Southlake Blvd in Southlake, and it is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday by appointment, with Monday, Thursday and Sunday closed.
Every new client starts with a consultation before any treatment is booked. Most treatments run 90 minutes or longer. Booking requires a credit card on file, and clients are asked to give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancelling or rescheduling 24 to 48 hours ahead carries a $50 fee, while same-day changes and no-shows are charged the full price of the appointment. Children do not come along to appointments. Clients who are pregnant should say so when booking, since some actives and protocols are not recommended during pregnancy. Clients who have had Botox or filler are asked to wait at least two weeks before a facial, and to avoid retinol, exfoliants and other active ingredients for 24 to 48 hours beforehand.
The treatment menu spans DMK Enzyme Therapy, which the studio names as its signature treatment, along with the Face Reality Acne Bootcamp, a structured acne program offered in clinic or virtually. Advanced skin revision options include BioRePeel, a TCA treatment that can be added to any treatment; Cosmelan Peel, which needs specific products and skin preparation beforehand; Liquid Microneedling; Nano-Needling Facial Infusion; Procell Microchanneling; and the Red Carpet Facial, also called Glo2Facial, an oxygenating facial.
Virtual skin consultations are held one-on-one over FaceTime and are open to clients anywhere in the U.S. Clients book, then complete a skin history intake form before the call. A personalized plan with a product routine, lifestyle guidance and next steps follows within 24 to 48 hours. The initial product investment for the virtual program averages $150. The business says the virtual program offers the same depth of care as the in-person practice. Products are not required to be bought through the studio to get results. Free local pickup is offered in Southlake and shipping is free on online orders over $200. All sales are final, and returns, exchanges and refunds are not accepted.
Lauren reviews skin history, triggers, and lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress, diet and daily habits before recommending products, and the studio offers evidence-informed guidance on nutrition and supplements for skin healing.
