Illinois Skin Center is a dermatology practice on North Halsted Street in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. It serves medical, surgical, and cosmetic patients, with care for skin, hair, and nail conditions under one roof.
For medical skin care, the practice treats acne, rosacea, psoriasis, dermatitis, and general skin checks, as well as bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic skin infections. Hair loss and scalp conditions are also treated, including alopecia areata and hair changes linked to age or hormones. Nail care covers eczema or psoriasis affecting the nails, nail injuries, and nail infections.
Skin cancer care includes diagnostic services and treatment, with biopsies and micrographic dermatologic surgery among the procedures. Other in-office procedures include removal of benign lesions, excisions, wound repair, injections for cysts or inflamed areas, and acne extractions. Cosmetic consultations are available for Botox, Dysport, and similar treatments, and the practice also treats surgical scars and skin laxity.

Procedures are billed to insurance and may apply to the deductible, and costs are discussed before the procedure. Accepted plans include Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Medicare (not Medicare Advantage) with secondary supplements such as BCBS or Aetna. HMO, Medicaid, POS, Medicare Advantage, Humana, Meridian Community, and Prime Healthcare plans are not accepted.
