Il Pelo Studio LLC is run by its owner, Nicole Morelli, who is the sole owner and operator. The studio works only with organic hair services, and every visit is booked in advance because the studio takes appointments only.

Sessions are private and one-on-one, so the stylist gives each client her full attention for the length of the appointment. The studio says it considers hair alongside the rest of a person's wellbeing rather than treating it in isolation.

New clients who want colour can reserve a complimentary consultation first. That conversation covers hair goals, lifestyle and daily upkeep, and ends with a personalized hair plan. A colour consultation and a colour appointment cannot take place on the same day. Colour work ranges from full colour to subtle highlights or bolder fashion shades, and every colour service includes a clarifying shampoo, a wet stretch test and an Organic Colour Systems treatment.

The studio works from a whole-person view of hair and gives each client private, one-on-one time with the stylist.
