Services are divided by specialty, so different staff handle cutting, coloring, waxing or nails. Color and chemical work begins with a consultation, an in-depth hair analysis and a conditioning treatment chosen for the client. Hair extensions are quoted after a consultation.

Signature offerings include Ichiban Atama, a head, neck and shoulder massage using Shiatsu and aromatherapy that the salon describes as its own exclusive, and the Ichiyo facial, a 90-minute treatment with extra facial massage. Body treatments run 60 to 75 minutes and draw on sea salt, seaweed, honey and Moor Mud.

Spa packages come as full-day or half-day options. Bridal packages cover a bride's practice session and day-of hair, makeup and nails for the bride and wedding party. Choosing three or more services in one package earns 10% off the regular price.

Booking requires a credit card and phone number, and the card is charged at checkout on the day of service. Cancelling 24 hours or more ahead has no charge, a same-day cancellation costs 50% of the service fee, and a no-show costs the full fee. Gratuities are not included, and according to the salon, an 8% Ohio tax applies to non-hair services. Ichi-PET Center sells wheat- and corn-free dog treats.
