The salon opened in 2008. Owner Kara Walston and her husband Wade designed and built the space themselves. In 2012 the salon moved into a location it describes as three times larger than its first home.

Sustainability shaped the design, and the salon uses as many recycled products as it can. According to the salon, Environmental Magazine and Riviera Magazine named it Orange County's first eco-friendly salon.

The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and the salon welcomes people of all ages. According to the salon, most of its stylists have worked together for more than 15 years. Stylists attend educational classes regularly to keep up with trends and industry knowledge.

Haircuts for women and men include a consultation, shampoo, conditioning, cut and style. Color services cover root color and grey coverage, base bump, all-over color, weaves, balayage, bleach retouch, toner and gloss, and also include keratin treatment, color correction, double process, vivid color, bleach root color and men's single process color. Color prices vary by stylist and scope of service. Extensions are priced at a complimentary consultation, and they require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Eyelash extensions run from a classic mini set at $95 to a volume set at $275, with touch-ups available at lower prices.

Esthetician services include customized facials; the standard facial starts at $60 and an express facial takes 45 minutes at $55. Waxing, brow tinting and shaping, threading, ear piercing and spray tan are also offered. A la carte updos, makeup and blow-dry styling are available, along with bridal trial updos, bridal makeup and custom bridal packages, with prices that may vary. Specialty hair and makeup classes are offered. Hours are Tuesday through Friday 9am to 9pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm. Appointments are requested through a form, and the salon calls to confirm; a valid credit card is needed to reserve. Cancellations need more than 24 hours notice, and shorter notice or a no-show without a call carries a $50 fee. Arriving more than 25 minutes late may mean the appointment is treated as missed, with a fee of 30% of the service cost.

The salon designs and stocks with sustainability in mind, and its stylists keep learning through regular classes so their work stays current.
