About

Melissa Schleicher founded the salon as an extension of Parlour 3, where she had built a freelance hair and makeup business over more than 20 years. The business has since added Barbour 3 and Parlour 3 Collection. According to the salon, its clients have included Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Lee Ann Womack, Olivia Newton John and Lisa Marie Presley.

The menu is sorted into three areas: color, cuts and styles, and makeup. Stylists go through an intensive training program before being assigned according to their experience level and price tier. Hair extensions are available using Kacey Welch and either Bellami or Great Length, and the price is determined after a consultation. Wedding team members must pass an audition and an interview. A freelance bridal team travels to the client's location to handle weddings and events.

Appointments can be booked online through Vagaro, and gift cards are available. New guests must book a color consultation before their first service, and a $50 deposit goes toward that service. Cancellations within 24 hours may be charged 50 percent of the service total. No-shows and same-day appointments are charged the full service total. Guests more than 15 minutes late are asked to reschedule and may be charged the full service. Guests who are unhappy with a color or cut can contact the salon within 7 days to have it adjusted. Tips can be paid by card and are shared among stylists when a guest has services with several of them. A blowout that is needed because hair was wet or greasy carries an extra $50 charge. Hair extension purchases are final sale and nonrefundable. Retail items may be returned within 30 days of purchase, except makeup and hair brushes.

Wedding work is booked on Sundays, both in the salon and on location. Brides complete a trial run of about 2.5 hours, booked 30 to 45 days before the wedding and paid separately from the wedding day payment and booking fee. On-location services carry a 20 percent gratuity shown in the contract. On-location weddings beyond a 30-mile radius carry a travel fee of 67 cents per mile round trip for each stylist sent, and out-of-state trips require the client to cover travel and accommodation. Bridal clients may request one makeup artist and one hair stylist within 30 days of signing the contract, though availability is not guaranteed. Bridal party substitutions must be requested with Donna Augustini at least 48 hours before the wedding.
