Houskin Studio

Houskin Studio is a skincare studio in Houston that focuses on facials and acne care. The menu is grouped into three areas: Acne Bootcamp, Corrective Treatments and Custom Treatments. Every facial includes extractions and a face massage.

The acne program is designed for clients with acne grades 1 to 4 and does not rely on prescription drugs. It uses Face Reality Skincare products and treatments. A first visit is a 90-minute consultation covering skin type, current condition, acne type, lifestyle factors and any past products or medications, and clients leave with an information folder. Visits are two weeks apart, usually six to eight treatments over three to four months. The studio gives an average clearing time of 90 to 120 days and states a clearing rate of 95% for its plan. Homecare products are required, and an average purchase of $200 to $300 is typical, lasting two to four months. Once skin clears, a monthly deep cleanse facial is recommended for maintenance.

The corrective menu includes DMK Enzyme Therapy in two levels, ProCell Microchanneling and The Houskin Treatment. Level 1 uses messenger enzymes and is listed for acne, scarring, pigmentation and age management. Level 2 is a muscle banding treatment listed for premature aging, pigmentation, environmental damage and loose or sagging skin. ProCell Microchanneling is listed for fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone and acne scars, and creates micro-perforations on the outer layer of skin. The Houskin Treatment combines enzyme therapy, microchanneling, growth factor serums and red light therapy, and includes a hyaluronic mask and aftercare to take home.

The custom menu is built around each client's needs. A Customizable Treatment is tailored to skin needs and goals. Aqua Gleam is a hydrodermabrasion facial that removes dead skin, extracts blackheads, whiteheads and sebaceous filaments, infuses serums and finishes with LED light. New clients can book a New Client Treatment, a customized session that includes a discussion of homecare and a complimentary LED add-on. The studio also sells GlyMed Plus skincare products and eGift cards in set amounts or a custom amount.

Treatments are planned around each client's skin type, condition and goals, with the acne program running on a set schedule of visits and homecare.
