Sarah opened House of Style in 2008, and the salon now has two hair stylists and a master nail technician on its team. The salon describes its atmosphere as laid back and relaxing, with a small-town feel, and says it offers the kinds of services a big-city salon would while keeping that setting.

Hair services cover color, highlights, haircuts, deep conditioning and special occasion styles, including bridal updos. Highlight options range from balayage and foils to caplites and dimensional lightening. Hair color is priced by technique after a consultation, and clients can book an online consultation to get a price range for the result they want.

Nail services include manicures, pedicures and nail enhancements. Natural nail care comes in three levels: an option without polish, one with lacquer, and a deluxe version that adds exfoliation, a hydrating mask and massage. An indulgent option uses CBD-infused products.

Every client is given a cape, and salon tees are available to wear over clothing. Appointments are required and walk-ins are not accepted. Booking is done through the online links on each team page, or by phone or text, with replies as soon as possible. The salon phone is silenced during services.

Clients are asked to arrive with clean, dry hair washed within the last day or two and to use minimal product before color, since heavy dry shampoo and gray-root covering powders can affect results. Hair with significant knots or tangles carries an extra fee based on the time needed to detangle. Bulky hooded sweatshirts and turtleneck blouses are not recommended; solid neutral colors are suggested.

The salon says it wants guests to leave feeling refreshed, recharged and cared for.
