Hoa Sen opened in Madison Valley as a nail spa and has served the neighborhood for more than 20 years. The name is the Vietnamese term for lotus flower, and the founder arrived in the United States with Vietnamese beauty care traditions that run through the rituals on the menu.

According to the salon, services are not rushed and presence comes before speed. Pedicures sit at the center of the menu: the Lotus Grounding, Lotus Bloom and Lotus Ascend pedicures run about 35, 55 and 75 minutes at $46, $68 and $90, with gel upgrades at $64, $86 and $108. Technicians specialize in Kansa wand therapy, hot stone massage and nail art.

A rewards program gives one point for every dollar spent. Points can be redeemed for a Lotus Grounding Pedicure at 750 points or a Lotus Essence Manicure at 550 points.
