The studio was founded by owner and esthetician Tabitha Hall, who also works as a technician there. Her stated aim is to offer the best possible environment and personal service in the waxing field, and she follows a rule of never using a product on clients that she would not use on herself.
A Brazilian removes hair from front to back, with an option to leave a landing strip. Bikinis and extended bikinis are offered as well. For a visit to go smoothly, hair should be about the length of a grain of rice and at least two weeks of growth, ideally three; hair that is too short leads to rescheduling. Exfoliating the day before is recommended, but not on the day of the appointment. Clients are advised to avoid sun, tanning, sweating and tight clothing for 24 to 48 hours afterward, and to tell staff about recent sun exposure, retinols, acutane, oral antibiotics, steroids or facial treatments beforehand.
The studio recommends waxing every four to six weeks, with two or three appointments to set up a routine. Clients may book during their period or reschedule if they feel uncomfortable. Aftercare includes a coconut oil infused with tea tree oil, and the studio carries a scrub it describes as gentle.
The studio uses Nufree, a soy based, wax-free, sugar-free system that it describes as antibacterial and antimicrobial. It describes Nufree Nudesse as the gold standard in hair removal, noting that it was developed more than 25 years ago to help plastic surgeons remove hair before surgery. The studio says Nufree is virtually pain-free and does not cause the redness or swelling it associates with wax; these are its own claims.
