High Maintenance

High Maintenance is a nail studio in Stevenson, Washington, run by its owner. It is at 198 NW 2nd St inside the Avary building. Enter through the main building entrance and take the first door on the left. A large white sign reading Stevenson Spa + Mercantile marks the building.

The studio books by appointment only and works in gel. It does not offer acrylic or dip, and it does not offer pedicures. Pedicures are available from Nails by Kennedi, a provider in the same space that books separately.

Hard gel is the studio's alternative to acrylic and dip. An overlay covers the natural nail as a protective layer, and longer lengths are built with nail forms. Hard gel starts at $120, depending on length, and takes 1 hour 30 minutes or more. The push-up mani uses soft gel on bare nails to add strength while natural nails grow out. It suits shorter lengths rather than long nails, starts at $70, and takes 1 hour 30 minutes or more.

Nail art can be added to any appointment. Designs range from French tips to more extensive work, and the price varies. An art add-on takes about 30 minutes. Detailed designs, or designs on all ten nails, need a message first so the time can be confirmed. Repair services start at $8 and take 5 minutes or more, with any art booked separately.

If the previous hard gel appointment was 5 or more weeks earlier, a removal and full set may be required. All sales are final and returns are not accepted. The studio also sells merchandise through an online shop.
