Here's the Rub Massage Therapy is a massage practice in Columbia, South Carolina, located at 2711 Middleburg Drive, Suite 104-A, with free parking. Listed hours are 8am to 8pm. Randall Davis owns the practice and is also its massage therapist.
The core menu is Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sports, TMJ and Hot Stone massage. Most are listed at $100 for one hour and $125 for 1.5 hours, while Deep Tissue, Swedish and Sports also go to two hours at $180. Neuromuscular, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral, Lymphatic, Geriatric and Prenatal massage are also named on the site, and chair and stick massage can be arranged on request after a consultation.
Each session is shaped around the client's needs and the areas holding tension. The aim is to find where discomfort begins instead of only addressing symptoms. Deep tissue work uses elbows, thumbs, body weight and body mechanics, with pressure set to what the client can tolerate, and may include acupressure, stick massage and trigger point therapy. Sports sessions combine tapping, percussive movements, stretching, friction, kneading and compression, chosen for the client's goals and the body area being treated. Swedish massage is a full-body session using light to medium pressure.
Hot stone sessions use heated stones that are moved over or placed on the body, kept between 135 and 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Six hot basalt stones can be added at no charge to deep tissue or Swedish massage if requested at booking, and hot stones must be requested when booking. TMJ massage uses light pressure around the jaw and neck and includes work inside the mouth after the external muscles are treated.
Clients can book by calling or texting (803) 530-6680 or emailing randall@herestherubmassagetherapy.com. Gift certificates are available.
Sessions are customized to each client's needs and tension areas, with a focus on identifying the source of discomfort rather than only treating symptoms.
