Hello Sugar is a hair removal salon and a member of the Hello Brands group. The Littleton location is in the Bowles Crossing Plaza near Tony's Market, inside 5th Avenue Salon Suites. The suite is the first on the right when entering the building, and there is parking at the entrance door. Other Hello Sugar salons are in Edgewater, Glendale and Greenwood Village, Colorado.

About

The menu covers waxing and sugaring for arms, back, chest and stomach, buttocks, legs, face and neck, and the Brazilian area, for both women and men. The salon chooses from four different waxes and sugars based on each client's skin. Its sugaring paste mostly grips hair rather than skin, which the salon says often suits sensitive skin. Most appointments run 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the service and the area.

Before a waxing or sugaring visit, hair needs to have grown to about rice-grain length, which typically takes two to three weeks. The salon says results from wax and sugar usually last three to four weeks, and most clients book again every four to six weeks. Laser sessions are scheduled several weeks apart. Very coarse hair, such as thick beard hair on men, may be too coarse for wax or sugar. The first-timers page on the website covers how to prepare, what the appointment involves and aftercare.

Aestheticians complete a three-month program to become certified in the salon's sugaring technique, and every esthetician completes advanced certification focused on techniques that reduce discomfort. The salon says its training goes beyond what aesthetics school covers. At the Littleton location, the menu also includes facials, Brazilian enzyme treatment and intimate lightening.

According to the salon, the approach centers on comfort and results, with a relaxed, non-judgmental experience and high standards for waxing, cleanliness and customer service.
