Hair is removed with sugar paste or wax, and the salon offers a choice of four different waxes and sugars. Sugaring also exfoliates the skin. Services are open to clients of all genders and all skin and hair types. Waxing and sugaring work on both fine and coarse hair, though men's beard hair may be too coarse for them.

Appointments generally run 15 to 30 minutes, varying with the service and treated area. Before a visit, hair needs to have regrown to a short stubble, which usually takes two to three weeks. Waxing can follow shaving, provided enough time has passed for hair to grow back. Results typically last three to four weeks, and most clients book again every four to six weeks. According to the salon, regular treatments lead to slower, finer regrowth over time.

Memberships are billed monthly and include one service of the chosen type each month. Members can cancel at any time without a cancellation fee or added commitment, and the membership can be used at any Hello Sugar location, subject to service and appointment availability. Unused vouchers roll over if a client cannot come in during that month. The salon says members save up to 20% on services. The Lifetime All-Access Pass is a monthly membership that the salon says offers its lowest laser hair removal pricing for every area.
