Hello Sugar is a hair removal business and a Hello Brands company, which also offers franchising. The salon describes itself as an all-in-one hair removal salon and says it serves women, men and all skin and hair types. Besides the four Alabama salons, it lists locations under the same name in other areas.

Waxing pulls hair out from the root. According to the salon, regrowth tends to become finer and thinner the longer waxing continues. Sugaring also removes hair from the root, using a sugar paste that exfoliates the skin as it works. The salon says the paste grips hair far more than skin, which is why it believes many clients with sensitive skin choose sugaring. For each client, the salon selects one of four waxes or sugars. Most appointments run roughly 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the service and the area treated. Clients usually rebook waxing or sugaring every four to six weeks, and the salon says results typically last three to four weeks. Before a visit, hair should be quite short, about the length of a grain of rice according to the salon, which generally means two to three weeks of growth. Men's beard hair can be too coarse for these methods.

Beyond hair removal, the salon offers lash lifts and lash tints, brow tinting, brow shaping and brow lamination, which the site says hold for six to eight weeks. Brow lamination is a semi-permanent, noninvasive treatment that temporarily adjusts the brow pattern, and a lash lift is a semi-permanent lift that does not use extensions. Enzyme and brightening treatments include an underarm enzyme treatment, a Brazilian enzyme treatment that includes cleansing, enzymatic exfoliation, extractions and a hydrating mask, and intimate lightening, an accelerated brightening treatment for sensitive areas. Laser hair removal is also offered, including a Try Laser package for full legs and Brazilian with underarms included.

The Patchwork Farms salon is inside Phenix Salon Suites in the Patchwork Farms shopping complex, next to Publix, with free parking directly in front. Its main door stays unlocked during business hours and needs no door code. Hours differ by location, so check the location you plan to visit. Patchwork Farms is open Wednesday through Saturday, 8AM to 6PM. The business publishes a cancellation and no-show policy and a return and refund policy.

Memberships are billed monthly and can be bought for waxing, sugaring or laser services, online or during an appointment. A membership covers one service per month for the selected type and area, and any unused monthly voucher rolls over. The salon says members save up to 20% on services, and memberships can be used at any Hello Sugar location, depending on availability. Members can cancel or freeze at no charge, according to the salon. New client promotions vary by location.
