Hello Haircut

Hello Haircut has been operating since 1999 as a private, one-chair studio at 6138 York Blvd in Los Angeles.

The menu is grouped under cuts and runs from a quick bang or neck trim to clipper cuts, dry cuts and salon-style cuts. Clipper cuts use clippers on the sides and scissors on top and include a shampoo. Salon-style cuts are done with scissors and razor, cover classic crops, pixies, bobs and any length below the ear, and include a shampoo and styling or blowout, with extra detailing when needed.

Dry cuts are offered to existing clients who want to keep their current style. They do not include a shampoo, so the hair needs to arrive clean, free of major tangles, creases, bed head and sticky products, and dried the way the client usually wears it: air dried if they air dry, or straight if they straighten. The stylist may wet the hair during a dry cut when that will help the result. Bang and neck trims are for existing clients only.

Cuts are shaped by an interest in shape and composition, which the owner says grew out of her studies and informs how she cuts.
