Healing Touch Salon and Spa

Healing Touch Salon and Spa is a massage practice in Woodhaven, Michigan, run by owner Samantha Tucker. The owner's long-term plan is to grow it into a full-service spa with a wider range of beauty and wellness services, and for now the menu centers on massage.

Swedish massage is offered in 30, 60, 90 and 120-minute sessions, with the 30-minute session at $50 and longer sessions starting at $80 to $150. Deep tissue massage works into the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to ease chronic aches and pains, and is offered in 60, 90 and 120-minute sessions starting at $95 to $165. Pregnancy massage, a prenatal therapy, is available in 60 and 90-minute sessions starting at $95 and $130; the 90-minute session includes an optional 15-minute nap at the end.

Add-ons can be booked with Swedish and deep tissue massages of 60 minutes or longer. Gift cards are available for birthdays, holidays and general use. Parking is free, the building has disabled access and WiFi, and staff speak English.

Payment is due at the time of service, and the salon does not bill insurance directly or provide coded receipts for reimbursement. Clients are asked to arrive 10 minutes early; late arrivals receive the remaining time and are charged for the full booked session. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and later cancellations are charged 50% of the cost to the card on file, while no-shows are charged the full amount. After three no-shows, future appointments must be prepaid. The cancellation fee may be waived with a doctor's note for illness within the notice period. Sessions are fragrance-free, and massage is not offered to clients with a contagious illness, who are asked to reschedule.

Sessions are tailored to each client's needs with the aim of refreshing both body and mind. The business says it uses the best products and techniques.
