HBA Collection is run by Alessandra Donald from its Round Lake Beach location. The studio focuses on hair extensions for every hair type, with a wide range to choose from: braids, twists, locs, sew-ins, quickweaves and knotless styles. It is open Tuesday through Saturday, with Thursday hours running later into the evening, and closed on Mondays and Sundays.

Beyond extensions, the menu covers pre-wash and steam treatments, a moisturizing deep condition, a peppermint scalp treatment for flaky or severely dandruff-prone scalps, and a hot oil treatment blended from coconut, jojoba, grape seed, tea tree biotin and olive oils. Silk press packages, trims, touch-ups and haircuts to pair with a silk press are offered as well. Washes and blowouts are included in all pricing, and the studio also runs a braider master class and sells gift cards.

Booking involves filling out a form after you reserve, and clients under 13 should message before booking. Many services require a deposit, which is non-refundable but can be moved to a future appointment. Appointment end times are estimates, and arriving more than 15 minutes late may lead to cancellation, with late fees at 30 minutes and one hour. Cancelling less than 48 hours ahead carries a 10% fee. Remaining balances are best paid in cash; card, Zelle and tap to pay carry a 3.5% service fee, and Cash App and Venmo are not accepted.
