HAVEN hair studio was founded by Amanda Perkins, who owns the salon and also works as a stylist there. The salon operates as a private studio suite with two chairs, so each client has a one-on-one appointment. The salon states its mission as offering high-quality luxury hair services in a warm and welcoming setting.

Visits are collaborative and planned around each client. New clients complete an online consultation questionnaire before an appointment is scheduled, and consultation requests receive a reply within three business days, with no consultation emails sent over the weekend. Menu prices are starting points: a customized quote is given after the online consultation and before booking. Custom Color starts at $150 with Kelsey and $250 with Amanda, and Haircut and Shape Design starts at $55 with Kelsey and $85 with Amanda. Treatments start at $15 with either stylist.

Amenities include a shampoo bed with a headrest, a laptop tray, an iPhone charger, complimentary snacks and beverages, and music that can be adjusted to client preferences. A large wall of windows brings natural light into the room.

The color menu centers on lived-in color, which uses techniques such as balayage and foiling, usually with three or more color placements, for dimensional, low-maintenance results. High-impact blonding aims for maximum brightness with little dimension, typically using foiling, and may take more than one session. The salon does not offer fashion colors or bold placement. Extensions use the Invisible Bead Extension method, which adds length, thickness or both and begins with a detailed consultation.

The salon plans each visit around the individual client, from consultation through to the finished result. It focuses on natural-looking, low-maintenance color rather than fashion or bold placements.
