HaruConcept

HaruConcept was founded by Giancarlo Burgos, who started doing hair as a teenager. The business created Haru Akademi to fill the gap between leaving hair school and continuing with advanced training.

The academy's aim is to help artists understand their own haircutting decisions so they can make those decisions independently. Its 12-week CORE program covers haircutting fundamentals, creative decision-making, communication, content creation and personal identity. ADVANCED EDUCATION is a one-day study of layers and graduation, built around suitability and control.

Single-day and multi-day sessions include DAY 01 Look & Learn ($150, 30 seats, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM), which uses live demonstrations on consultation, shape, wet and dry texture, separation, styling, finishing and photography. DAY 02 Hands-On Intensive ($700, 8 seats, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM) is a small-group session with hands-on cutting and individual feedback, run with EOC x Haru educators and including Day 01 access. The Creating Separation workshops are run in collaboration with EOC studio, and an Istvan Mixtai two-day course priced at $120 covers decision-making, step-by-step haircuts, social media content and precision cutting on mannequin heads.

Tickets are non-refundable and all sales are final. Tickets may be transferred to another artist up to 7 days before an event with written approval from Haru Concept, and no-shows forfeit their ticket. If an event is cancelled, all ticket holders receive a full refund. If an event is rescheduled, tickets move automatically to the new date, and holders who cannot attend may request a refund within 7 days of the announcement.
