Hairspell

Hairspell is a curly hair salon in Glendale, set in suite 204 inside Salon Republic on North Brand Boulevard. The studio is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and it is closed Monday, Saturday and Sunday.

Curly haircuts are done dry, with the hair in its natural state. The service includes a wash and natural styling, without manipulating the curls. Clients are asked to arrive with their hair down and naturally styled, washed one to two days before the visit, and detangled and refreshed on the day of the appointment. Clips, bands, braids, hair ties, curling irons and flat irons should be avoided beforehand.

Hair color is also offered. Stylist Jessica Arnold begins each visit with a consultation about hair history, current product routine and any past coloring. New clients book a new client haircut and complete the profile form when they book, or the appointment will be canceled.

Booking opens up to 60 days ahead. Services are gratuity free, and parking is validated at the Salon Republic front desk with two hours free and any remaining time paid. Children, guests and pets are not permitted in the studio.

The salon works with curly hair as it grows, cutting it dry and keeping styling light, and uses organic hair products.
