HairOnAMillie is a hair salon on Chicago's West Side. Its menu is grouped into service categories, from consultations and extensions to color, locs, natural hair work, styling and units.

Every service includes a scalp cleanse and conditioning. Chemical services and luxury extensions begin with a consultation, and luxury extension consultations should be booked at least a week ahead so the requested length and texture can be confirmed in stock. Luxury extensions are texture matched using Millie Extensions only, and the salon offers TapeIns, Microlinks, Itips and Ktips.

Booking requires a deposit, which is subtracted from the total cost. Deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable, and for luxury extensions the deposit is half the cost of the extensions; extensions are not held without one. Pre-booking is recommended and offered after each visit. Clients have a 10-minute grace period, and cancelling within 12 hours of an appointment carries a $100 fee. Booking means agreeing to the salon's terms, and a confirmation email with the salon's address follows.

The space is small, so the salon asks that clients not bring extra people or children. Children's services begin at age 7, provided the child can sit still for the full service. Clients who want a quieter appointment can add a note for their stylist.
