Hairline Redesigned

Hairline Redesigned is a scalp micropigmentation studio in a brick building on Vine Street in Willowick, located inside Pat's Hair World. SMP is a non-surgical cosmetic tattoo for the scalp, used for receding hairlines, thinning crowns, widening parts and scalp scars. The studio works with both men and women.

Each visit opens with a conversation about the client's goals and whether SMP is a good fit. Before any pigment goes in, the hairline is hand-mapped in pencil, and the work is then built from individual dots placed under magnification and layered to resemble hair follicles. Before and after care is explained step by step at the appointment.

The studio is candid about what SMP can and cannot do. It uses no grafts or incisions and needs no hairpieces, sprays or powders, but it does not grow hair, does not stop further thinning, and does not produce a texture that can be combed or styled. As a tattoo it softens over the years, and touch-ups are discussed at check-in.

The owner also writes a blog on hair loss and SMP, with posts that include a comparison of SMP for women and the Norwood scale.

Consultation comes first: each appointment starts with a discussion of the client's goals and whether SMP suits them, and the hairline is mapped by hand before pigment is placed.
