Hairline Creations

Hairline Creations was founded by Paul V. Finamore, a hairdresser who also manufactured women's wigs. He began developing custom human hair systems in the early 1960s, after he started losing his own hair. He spent three years experimenting before he had a system that could be worn at all times. The studio now holds seven U.S. patents for hair replacement design and manufacturing, and a newer patent application was filed with the U.S. Patent Office in 2006.

The business has operated three offices in the Chicago area for nearly five decades. The site lists Arthur Jaskula as CEO and President, Stephanie Finamore-Jaskula as COO, and Danielle Klages as manager of the local team. Paul Finamore was appointed to the Illinois Barber and Cosmetology Committee and served eight years on it.

A visit starts with a free, confidential evaluation consultation with no pressure, where hair loss is assessed and suitable options are discussed. Clients can choose a custom-designed system built from premium materials and paired with advanced attachment methods, or a stock system; the studio offers all-inclusive stock packages. An in-house alteration team supports both custom and stock systems, and maintenance and reapplication are offered to keep a system in place.

According to the site, it can be completed in as little as a couple of hours and can be done in any hair style the client chooses. The most popular transformation styles listed are High Fade with Pompadour, Low Skin Fade, Undercut and Long Slicked Back Undercut.

According to the salon, it is the sole hair-loss option on the market able to rebuild hairlines quickly and effectively, and it says it has refined methods for producing hairlines that look as natural as possible anywhere. Recognitions listed on the site include Best in Chicagoland honors from the United States Commerce Association for 2009, 2010 and 2011; Better Business Bureau accreditation, rated A+; membership in the American Hair Loss Council; a Hair Institute of America HAIRMASTER Award; and an International Hair Replacement Conference Quality Award. The salon also states that, as the only hair replacement center in Illinois, it has been authorized by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation to offer hair replacement instruction for continuing education to licensed barbers and cosmetologists. Past clients named on the site include celebrities, sports figures, sportscasters, newscasters and business executives.

The studio describes a practice of finding, training and keeping its own designers, stylists, technicians and hair ventilators, and says it has developed its own hairline techniques.
