Electrolysis treats individual hair follicles with a fine probe and an electrical current. Laser hair removal uses heat and energy to destroy the follicle. Laser work is done on an Aerolase Neo Elite aesthetic medical laser, which the business says former clients of other lasers find gentler and more pleasant. It notes a 650-microsecond pulse duration for the laser energy.
Beyond hair removal, the laser menu includes treatment for PFB, covering ingrown hairs and razor bumps, and NeoClear for acne. Melasma and hyperpigmentation have their own laser treatment. NeoSkin by Aerolase addresses rejuvenation and tightening, including tone, texture, redness, pigmentation and loose skin. A separate NeoSkin session of 20 to 25 minutes is offered for rosacea, redness, veins and broken capillaries.
Electrolysis is sold in packages of 5, 10 or 15 sessions, in lengths from 15 to 60 minutes. Examples include 5 sessions of 15 minutes for $250 and 15 sessions of 60 minutes for $1,700. Clients can finance through Cherry, which offers equal monthly payments with approval amounts up to $10,000, 0% options subject to approval and a regular APR of 9.99% to 35.99%; applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid U.S. state driver's license and have a bank-issued debit card. CareCredit is also accepted. Hairless Solutions Institute runs a 600-hour electrolysis program with 300 hours of theory, about 12 weeks, and 300 hours of supervised clinical training. Tuition is $10,000, with $5,000 due to hold a seat and the balance payable over the theory portion, and all tuition must be paid before clinical training starts. Job placement may be available after completing the program but is not guaranteed.
