A visit starts with a short intake form asking about symptoms, earlier treatments and recent exposures. The screening itself is a check of the hair that usually takes about 15 minutes, done with professional-grade tools and lighting and no chemicals. If lice are found, treatment can begin at the same visit. If none are found, the salon offers prevention advice and can suggest a follow-up check.

Removal usually takes between 45 minutes and an hour. Technicians, who the salon says are specially trained in head lice removal, pick out lice and nits by hand with patented combs, then apply an enzyme-based treatment product. According to the salon, children can go back to school the same day.

The salon has a kid-friendly space designed to make treatment less frightening for younger clients. Treatment can also be provided at a client's home or other location. Services are frequently covered by most insurance policies, according to the salon. Appointment requests sent online are not confirmed until the salon calls back.
